Inspections can help find fastener problems such as loosening which is caused by severe vibrations across the axis of spin. These vibrations can cause many issues, but the most feared is fatigue failure. This is why it is very important to keep joints tight to avoid unnecessary equipment re-purchases.
 
Producers of pumps use HARDLOCK® bearing nut (HLB) to ensure joints are kept tight with no loss of preload. Other nut trying to achieve the same goal are not able to deal with exterior forces and end up cracking. HARDLOCK® is the strong, safe but most important long lasting solution.
