Anaerobic adhesives, often referred to as thread-locking fluid or threadlocker, are known for their ability to prevent fastener loosening. They cure within the confined space between threads, catalysed by exposure to metal and the absence of oxygen. See the article: Thread-locking Fluid: Assessing Strengths, Weaknesses & Alternatives

Where is HARDLOCK® nut often used?

  • In areas subject to strong tremors and vibrations
  • To replace welds and adhesives when disassembly is required for maintenance.
  • In places where maintenance is difficult after fixing
  • In areas where life is in danger
  • When a high tightening torque cannot be used for tightening
  • In extreme environments
